We feel the markets have evolved enough to warrant standalone regional allocations in areas like Brazil, India and China that present far more upside than a traditional broad based EM portfolio. Joshua M. Berger, CFA, CMT Managing Director and Associate Director, Investment Products and Strategies As an associate director of Investment Products and Strategies, Josh helps lead the group's global team of equity investment directors, investment specialists, and investment analysts. His focus is to help drive the firm's strategic initiatives in the Americas, specifically to support strategies managed by investment teams located in EMEA and the Asia Pacific regions. He collaborates with our equity investment teams in multiple ways, including working to help ensure the integrity of investment approaches; conducting research on equity markets and themes; and interacting with clients, prospects, and consultants to discuss specific investment topics and approaches. Prior to his current role, Josh was most recently an equity strategist and, prior to that, the associate director of Investment Products and Strategies focusing on multi-asset strategies. Before joining Wellington Management in 2004, he worked as an associate in Morgan Stanley's Institutional Equity Division (2002 - 2004). He also worked as an analyst for Strategic Decisions Group, a corporate strategy advisory firm in Boston (1997 - 2000). Josh received his MBA from Dartmouth College (Tuck, 2002) and his BA, with distinction, from Cornell University in biology and society with a concentration in biology and public policy (1997).
